Poodle & Blonde x COAT: How To Find Find The Perfect Paint And Wallpaper Pairing

Here at Poodle & Blonde, we’ve teamed up with COAT to make life easy when choosing the right paint colour to pair with our wallpaper prints.

Money Tree Wallpaper

This Poodle & Blonde best-seller Money Tree wallpaper in bamboo instantly brings a space alive, and the palette of soft and vibrant greens creates that wonderful feeling of being outside.

For a muted space, pair with a neutral paint colour to compliment the prints softer tones.  Pair with COAT Duvet Day to add subtle warmth and achieve a cool, vintage vibe.

Alternatively, go bold and choose a rich paint hue which will make the wallpaper pattern pop. We love Brewers from the Heals x COAT collection for its deep sage green with blue undertones which highlights the dark green leaves within Money Tree and creates a dramatic style statement. 

Style Tip: Go bold and wallpaper the entire room with Money Tree. Contrast this by painting the ceiling in Brewers to create a cosy and enveloping feel. Perfect for a bedroom or cosy cocktail snug.

Chain of Fools Wallpaper

Chain of Fools is our retro-inspired 1970s wallpaper, and adds a luxe vibe to both vintage and mid-century schemes.  

For maximum impact, we recommend using just one paint colour for walls, ceiling and woodwork.  Here we’ve chosen Chain of Fools in Jade and pulled out the base colour with COAT Mansard, a dramatic dark green with blue hints. We also love COAT The Old Corset Factory, an industrial dark rust red which compliments the hexagon blocks.

Style Tip: Use warm golds as an accent colour to emphasise the yellow tones within the wallpaper. 

Tottenham Dalmatian Wallpaper

Our cult Poodle & Blonde print, Tottenham Dalmatian adds an immediate wow factor, and works well in every room of the house. Its light tones makes a room feel more spacious, and so this print is perfect for North facing rooms where natural light is scarce. 

If you have a blank canvas, pair Tottenham Dalmation in Cocoa with an off-white paint like COAT Pampas.  The yellow tones make the room feel much warmer than a stark, bright white.

You can also compliment this paper with a colour and we love to add a blush pink to soften and make the print feel feminine.  Pair with COAT Factor Fifty, a pale pink tone reminiscent of on-trend dry plastered walls.

Style Tip: Play around with texture to nail that vintage vibe by adding furniture in rattan and bamboo or antique wooden pieces in a dark walnut hue.
